Not sure why but I think baby pigs are pretty much the cutest animals ever! I would love to have these little guys running around in my back yard! I watched Food, inc last night and it reminded me of my fondness for these animals. Joel Salatin is a farmer for polyface farms and he does everything right for his animals. He still eats meat but he gives every animal on his farm so much respect. The pigs literally ran up to him so that he would pet them. His view is that if we can't treat animals with respect than we will not treat other humans with respect. I couldn't agree more! Some people worried that this documentary would make me not want to eat anything. When in all actuality it made me want to go to the grocery store, and the farmers market, to buy the food that will help change the entire industry. The movie doesn't leave you feeling hopeless and that all food is bad, instead I felt empowered to make a change. To know that it is our money that drives the entire food industry makes me feel like even I can have an impact on our environment.Plus it is always nice to hear your boyfriend say "you were right honey, I will buy organic food even if it does cost more money."
